Tasty Burger

Quick serve burgers in Harvard Square. Menu falls features chicken, hot dogs, sides, and shakes. The Big Tasty is a classic, with fresh cut vegetables, special sauce, and a good size patty. Soda fountain offers Pepsi products. The Starving Student special is a great deal for everyone - burger, fries, and a tall beer. No student ID required.

Tasty Burger is hands down my favorite burger spot in Boston. The burgers are perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Everything from the bun to the toppings feels thoughtfully prepared and consistently delicious. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great place to grab a satisfying meal without fuss. Honestly, whenever I’m in Boston, this is my go-to spot for a burger fix — I can’t recommend it enough.

This is the best chain fast-food burger I've had in the US so far! No wonder it won the "Best Burger, Casual" award at Best of Boston 2025. Cheeseburger: The freshly grilled patty was piping hot, bursting with juices and aroma—the experience was beyond words… Of all the fast-food burgers I've had, this was higher quality and juicier than McDonald's or Burger King, more fiery than Shake Shack, and more straightforward and simple than Five Guys. It didn’t have too many toppings or sauces, which highlights the flavor of the patty itself. The cheese and lettuce balance it out, preventing it from being overly greasy. The size was just right too —full and satisfying without being too filling. The wrapping paper with an elastic band was also a nice touch. The only downside was that the seasoning was a bit salty; it's best to mention that when ordering. Small French Fries: Freshly fried thick-cut fries—needless to describe more. Lemonade Fountain Soda: It might be on the sour side for most palates, but it suited my taste perfectly, cutting through the greasiness of the dish. Most importantly, this meal only cost $13+, which was incredibly good value…

I'm not sure of the cause of the poor ratings, but this is a good spot for a quick bite to eat. It's not gourmet, and maybe some of the reviewers are comparing it to fine dining. But as for a decent burger, great fries, amazing milkshakes, this place is great. Our meal was prepared accurately and quickly. I have zero complaints.

One of my favorite stops in Harvard square. Easy ordering, can get the burger well done, and plenty of seating. Lots of pickles too. FYI there is a big downstairs space, but it’s just for events.
