I'm late getting this review posted as you can see from date of ticket.
Review based on Tenderloin with Kettle chips and sliced brisket sandwich and onion rings.
Tenderloin- big but not pounded super thin. Breading had no flavor but stuff to the meat well.
Kettle chips- best thing about our meal
Brisket sandwich- covered in so much BBQ sauce you couldn't taste anything other than that. Meat sliced thin and not a ton of fat in it thankfully.
Onion Rings- second best thing about the meal.
Atmosphere- We were there during lunch so not busy. Repairs being done to so tables so it was noisy. The place is nothing but pool tables. Guess that's why it is called side pockets.
We stopped after an appointment in KC. Don't think I will be visiting again. Now if you played pool then it may be a great place to go but not just for food.

Last night we went to Side Pockets specifically to watch UFC. That turned out to be an ambitious goal.
We sat at a dirty table but credit where it’s due: the barback was fantastic. He cleaned it fast, was polite, and genuinely helpful. He even tried to get the fights put on for us, couldn’t find the channel, and went to ask the manager.
The manager’s 1st response? He was “too busy” and would do it later.
Our waitress came to take our order but we told her if they weren’t playing over there we were gonna move so we didn’t want to start a tab over there and make things more complicated. She also assured it wouldn’t be a problem and went to ask him again. He walked by, she asked, and he snapped something like “We’re not putting the fights on these TVs.”
Meanwhile, several TVs were proudly airing 48 Hours with no captions — because nothing says Saturday night at a sports bar like silent true-crime reruns. If you go to bars hoping to catch Dateline-silence, look no further!
So we moved to the section where the fights were playing. That area looked like it had survived a food fight and a flood. Sticky chairs, liquid on tables, and the fights on 2 smaller TVs.
We sat down anyway ~MISTAKE

Our server, Imani E was very good at serving our family of four but after receiving the bill for our food and drinks, I was a little upset. First, prices on the menus were less than the prices on the bill. Second, we were not informed that sauces cost extra for our sandwiches! Third, my daughter had changed her order from the combo nachos to a bacon cheeseburger, the nachos were to be canceled. I even told Imani that we had canceled the nachos when she told me they would be out soon after our orders arrived. She still brought it to us and it was charged for. Again, we had canceled it at the time we made our order! And lastly, we had four drinks, soda! We were charged for five! We think it's because my daughter asked for Sprite instead of coke as her last refill! REALLY?!?! It comes from a soda fountain but you change the soda your drinking it is considered a new drink?!?! That's wrong! My daughter changed her drink due to her upset stomach after eating. Not saying it was the food that upset her stomach.
Anyway, we enjoyed playing pool at side pockets. We even have decided it would be a great date night for our adult children and us. We won't be eating there, though! The menu p

After paying for a few games of pool we were rudely asked to leave as (league play) was starting. We had no problem leaving and there was no problems until one of the staff members (champagne) decided to raise her tone after we mentioned wanting to finish the game we payed for. This interaction has made me rethink about visiting again. 1/10 experience.

I believe we were served by Lauren. She didn't tell us her name, it was the name on the ticket. No clue what we did that made her dislike us at the table but she often ignored us so we had to go to the bar which apparently bothered her even more. We noticed she visited other tables much more often and we would have to ask twice for things which also seemed to bother her. We tried to be kind and just said we are sure your busy. My wife said she straight up ignored her and one of my friends said she made a rude comment when said friend finally went to the bar for a drink and passed Lauren by. She never apologized once or even tried to be friendly. No clue what the problem was. Normally this place is great. We considered moving to a new table to avoid her but just left for a new bar.
