Legends Barbecue

A very lively place with a great selection of food and drinks. We went when there was a deal on ribs; my husband really enjoyed the ribs and stated they were very moist and fell off the bone. I had their Mac and cheese with pulled pork. It was okay. The pulled pork was very good but the Mac and cheese was rather bland. It seemed very busy at the billiard tables and had a selection to choose from but there was a wait by the time we left, so if you’re primarily going to play pool, I’d suggest going on the earlier side. Overall, the staff were very friendly and provided great service.

Legends Billiards and Tavern is my go to place to go out when I'm home. This place has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and some great drink recommendations. They keep the bar well-stocked with a nice variety of reasonably priced drinks, including some expertly crafted cocktails. The food here is solid comfort bar fare. I especially loved their wings—nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly crispy. Their fried pickles and fries are also standouts. It’s clear they put care into the food, and for the prices, it’s excellent value. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, perfect for unwinding after a long day or catching a game on one of the many TVs. They also have dart boards which me and my friends spend most of our time at and usually start the night in Portsmouth at Legends for this reason. They have pool tables as well which is a nice thing to play when a table is available. What I really appreciate about Legends is that it’s a good local spot whether you want to socialize or just have a quiet drink with friends, this is a great choice.

Joe was a great bartender! My date and I had a good experience. Drinks and food were lovely. I would recommend this place as a fun date night!

This place is underrated. The brisket was perfectly smoked, the ribs were also near perfection. I have not had BBQ this good since my last trip to Dallas. The price was very good for the quality and quantity of food. The service was solid and the atmosphere good. It is also a billiard and darts venue so there were a lot of people. The important thing is that I already want to go back one day later.

The food here is absolutely the most underrated in Portsmouth. Jasmine, one of the bartenders recommended the bama ribs and the 3-way sandwich which was unreal. Both bartenders were very attentive and kept the vibe top tier. Kelly was on top of everyone’s order and was very efficient. The manager Kirsten was super friendly and welcoming, and both Martina and Miguel were running around crazy taking care of every single table. Between the service of the bartenders, the great management and the attentiveness of the servers… I’m going 5 stars all around. Would recommend!
