One and One

I came here on Cinco de Mayo because there was outdoor seating available and Cinco de Mayo specials and I didn’t otherwise plan ahead. It didn’t seem like the bar planned well either for the big drinking day and looked like there was only one waitress and maybe a bar back taking care of the entire bar (besides the bartenders). Because of this, I won’t fault the waitress for slow service. We ordered drinks, tacos, and wings. The Al pastor and asada tacos were decent and came at a reasonable amount of time. Since we ended up waiting for at least an hour+ for our wings, we decided to cancel our order of wings and get the bill. The waitress makes it clear she will remove the wings and to check her, if not. The waitress brings the bill. It was not itemized and seemed high. We asked for the itemized bill. She brings it but she did not remove the wings. We point that out and she plays it off and then says she will. She comes back and says the manager is the only one with a card to remove the wings but he left it in the car so we could either get a round of shots (that we’re ultimately paying for) or wait until the end of the night to have him go to the car and get it. Great staff. Great food. Great atmosphere and Omar is the coolest dude you will ever meet. Amazing place to watch a game or go for the happy hour deals and say hi to Omar or Jaimie. He’ll treat you to a shot of tequila.

Had my birthday here with a group of friends and genuinely couldn’t have had a better experience. Omar, the manager, was absolutely amazing and made the whole night so special from start to finish. The staff was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly all night. Can’t recommend One and One enough for a fun night out or celebration!

Been to the bar three times with my friend so far. We usually come when it’s happy hour when we are both off from work. The atmosphere is chill. You can sit indoor or outdoor. The time we came was quiet and then business picked up later on. Everyday the bar got certain deals on food. Today sliders were $2 for one. Not bad. It wasn’t as tasty as I like but for $2, can’t complain. We also got the coconut shrimp and fries. I got the five piece Thai spicy wings flavor. I was surprised to see the shrimps being delicious. I would def come again. The food and drinks are adorable. It’s a good vibe for sure.

We stopped by One and One as part of a nostalgic trip down memory lane as we used to come here often 15 years ago for a pint and a solid Irish breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience this time was beyond disappointing. The place was nearly empty, but the service was still non-existent and the bartenders seemed more interested in gossiping and giggling with each other than actually serving the few customers there. We were overcharged for our appetizer + beers we did order ($3 extra per beer as a weekend fee even though it was Friday??? Extra $1 for the app? Blatant price gouging!). Sadly, this spot is no longer what it once was. We won’t be returning. One and One is done. Don't bother with this bar- there are much better places in alphabet city that actually clean their beer lines and serve legit Stella.
