Reif's Bar

I love this bar. The prices are fair, and it’s not too loud or crowded, so you can still have nice conversations. Everyone is friendly and open. There are basically two rooms: in the front, you can watch sports games, and in the back, you can play darts and pool. Sometimes there’s a short wait, but it’s still a great spot if you’re on the Upper East Side and looking for something to do.

It was the best experience we’ve ever had at a bar in NYC. We met Bob and the bartender Victoria; we had amazing conversations and were welcomed in a way we had never experienced in New York before. If your goal is to have a local experience with great music, excellent beer, and fair prices, and if we had to recommend one place we loved and would come back to again and again, it would be this incredible and welcoming bar. This is a bar with history and spirit. Open since 1946, you can truly feel that it has many stories to tell. The bartender, Michael, is amazing, friendly, funny, and always welcoming. You feel at home every time you visit. This bar is a must-visit on the Upper East Side. They even offer free pizza at night! All the bartenders are kind, and the clientele is great.
