A real hole in the wall NYC bar that is getting harder to find. The atmosphere and the service are excellent!
They play rock ‘n’ roll, heavy metal and everything in between and it’s just it’s just the right kind of place.
Just go and thank me later

Blue Ruin rules. It's dark, the music is loud, and the service is no-nonsense. Have your ID out for the bouncer in advance, know what you're going to order when you go up to the bar, and have a great time. They don't really make bars like this any more (closing at 4am every day of the week, meaning plenty of industry folks at night) and I'm glad that this one survives in Manhattan. There's even a pool table!

Great bar with cheap beer (for Manhattan). If you're looking for a bar with a local crowd and some metal on the jukebox this is the place. You won't find fancy upscale nonsense in this place; just regular people drinking regular stuff. They have a pool table, which is cool. The bartender was right on top of things and there was plenty of good conversation. $4 Rolling Rock cans; you can't go wrong.
