We’ve stayed at The Roxy Hotel New York many times now, and it has quickly become our go-to hotel in NYC, largely because of the exceptional service led by Colette Ault.
The hotel itself is fantastic. The location is ideal, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the design that truly sets it apart is the stylized rooms, curated artwork, and record players with vinyl in every room, creating a unique and memorable experience. The restaurant is also excellent, with some of the best espresso martinis in the city.
That said, what really keeps us coming back is the staff. Colette and the entire front desk and bell team consistently go above and beyond. Colette is incredibly personable, attentive, and proactive, whether it’s helping with restaurant reservations, coordinating parking and bell services, or making sure we have every comfort covered in our room. We’re often greeted with a glass of Champagne at check-in, which sets the tone immediately and makes every stay feel elevated from the moment we arrive.
One of the most memorable touches was a surprise goodie bag for our dog, complete with bowls, treats, and even a fluffy dog bed. It was thoughtful, unexpected, and speaks volumes

A Sound Bath of the Worst Kind
The Roxy has a lot to love; the staff are great, the atmosphere is fun and it has a lot of amenities like a movie theater, a lot of live music and, apparently, a night club. The one place where the Roxy failed was in it's most important function: sleep. Instead of getting to sleep, my girlfriend and I unintentionally attended an EDM party in our room which seemed to be plugged directly into the speakers of the nightclub that was pumping techno from 1 - 4am. Our bed was literally pulsing with the beats from the bass. The Roxy knows this is a problem - our room (219) had a built in noise machine (a first for me), which we had cranked all the way up. It didn't matter, the bass kept our room vibrating at 140 beats per minute - for hours.
When I called the front desk at 3:30am and asked when the party-quake would end, the chipper person informed me that it should only be another half an hour (awesome!). And here's where the service fell down - I told the front desk that we hadn't been able to sleep since 1 and, aside from a polite apology, there was no follow up. Having worked in a hotel with its own problematic rooms, I know that the right move her

Our stay at the The Roxy Hotel was absolutely exceptional.
We booked the Two-Bedroom Deluxe, and it was everything you’d hope for — lovely, spacious, spotless, and effortlessly elegant. The layout gave us plenty of room to relax without feeling crowded, and the design had that perfect mix of classic New York charm and modern comfort.
The jazz touch throughout the hotel was refreshing and memorable. From the ambiance to the live music vibe, it felt sophisticated but still warm and inviting. Honestly, there’s no real need to leave the hotel — everything you want is right there.
The staff was amazing — attentive, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. The food was excellent (and that’s an understatement). The lamb chops were truly to die for — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for better. It’s right off the subway, making it easy to get anywhere in the city within minutes.
If you’re looking for style, comfort, great food, and an unforgettable atmosphere all in one place, The Roxy delivers. We’ll absolutely be back.

Amazing experience, especially if you are a music lover. Our suite was splendid. Couch that turns into bed was perfect! Main bedroom was gorgeous. The room had a vintage record player( working) and Marshall amp. There were really cool albums that we played.
The location was perfect. 1 block from canal street subway, 3 stops and you can promptly land in Brooklyn!
I must say one of the highlights of the trip was the excellent customer service at The Roxy Hotel New York. Zillah, who works at the front desk, ensured we had a prompt, smooth check in. She made us feel welcomed, giving us adult beverages when we came to the front desk. She was personable and knowledgeable.
I think The Roxy Hotel in New York will be be new home in NYC.

The Roxy Hotel owes me absolutely nothing! By far one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is so welcoming and made my stay here exceptional from checking in at the front desk with Nick, getting my bags taken to my room with Roger the bellhop, down to the room service catered by Abul. The style of the hotel is like a modern “Roaring 20’s”, the rooms are very clean and the bed is so comfortable to sleep on. I love that this hotel is a one-stop shop with their own dining restaurant/bar, live jazz club, movie theater and night club. They also play live music throughout the day aside from the jazz club. 10/10 would highly recommend staying at The Roxy.
