UPDATE 6/8/22: From what I understand, Buck’s is now closed and the management will be opening a new spot in a few months. RIP Buck’s, you were a real one. Favorite pool hall in North Carolina! I play here every weekend even though I’ve been to most of the pool halls in Raleigh and Cary. There’s a front and back area with tables to play on - which are kept clean and felted routinely. Tournaments are played here regularly, so tables and surroundings are taken care of. There is also a big sense of community. I always feel very safe at Buck’s - it has a very warm and welcoming environment. The owner clearly cares about the business and does an incredible job upholding Buck’s as a pillar for the pool community. Buck’s has higher quality bar food (love the pretzel bites with beer cheese, burger, or nachos) than other pool halls. I eat here regularly. The staff is great and always pleasant. I get kinda bummed when Matt or Alina aren’t working as they make me feel special :) Call ahead to reserve a table in case there is a tournament or event.

Great little dive. Came in with a group around 12am on a Friday. We were well taken care of by the staff. They have a decent late night menu and a decent liquor selection. Pool tables were well taken care of and golden tee was available to play. Definitely worth checking out for a quiet drink.

My gal and I went here last night for the first time. Definitely not your typical pool hall. It's was huge and clean for starters which I couldn't say for all my pool hall experiences so that was refreshing. They were drawing in a big crowd and was told there was a poker tournament around back and invited to participate. Food was amazing, we had the Ruben and chili cheese dogs. The most impressive experience of the night was the staff. Even with the bartender running back and forth the entire time we were there she didn't miss a beat! She made sure our glasses were full, remembered our names and even maintained a nice smile although she claimed to be working alone. Thats what I call service! We'll definitely be visiting again next time we're in town. Thanks for the great hospitality.
