Pantana's Pool Hall & Saloon

We started going here pretty regularly about a year ago. I like this place. Good pool hall. For some reason they have started charging a $3 cover for nothing. I get the cover if they have live music or some big pay per view that they are trying to cover but for nothing, nah I don’t like it. We have to pay to get in, to be able to pay to play pool and pay for the drinks. It makes no sense. Then to top it off there is an $8 non negotiable line charge if you pay with a card. Seems like they’re trying to tread water and drowning financially. Seems like it’s been mismanaged previously by the same mentality that thought this line item and cover were a good idea.

The tables weren't bad, pretty good for a public joint actually. The drinks were reasonable and the place is pleasant. Not a place I'd choose for a date, more of a hang with friends kinda place.

Had a great time, even made friends with the precious pupper who maintains the pool hall lol. Ask her owner if you can see her do "bang bang" and you WONT be disappointed. The pool tables and music are great and a great mix of people from all age ranges. And super affordable to play and drink. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best pool hall in Raleigh. My father in law and I were looking for a good place to get a couple of beers and shoot some pool and this place didn’t disappoint. We like to use powder when we shoot and they had no issue with it and the bartender never let us run out of beer. They have a jukebox service where you can buy credits and listen to the music you like as well. We’ve been back multiple times and had a great experience every time. You rock Pantanas!

convenient location but very racist staff and patrons. my boyfriend and i went in and were immediately harassed by patrons and didn’t feel welcome, we left before we could even get a drink. if you are black or honestly any person of color, please stay away!! this place feels straight from the 1920’s
