Rack'em Pub & Billiards

Love rackem. It was a great time. We had wings and the sleeper, pizza. That said, we usually go on a Sunday for pool, and it's fine until the evening. The vibe totally changes at 6 or 7ish and the energy, just leaves the spot....we'd hang out longer and spend more money, but once the staff changes over, we relocate.

I visited Rack’em to play pool with my girlfriend, my brother and his girlfriend, and another friend. I am the oldest of the group at 25, and the youngest in the group was 23. After checking my girlfriend’s ID for about 30 seconds, which seemed a little much considering she has a REAL ID, the bartender moved to me. I moved to Alabama from NC four months ago for school and am changing residency, so I got an Alabama ID. Recently, I upgraded to REAL ID, so my physical ID has a VOID punch through it. I carry the paper temporary REAL ID given to me by Alabama DMV with me in case I need to demonstrate proof of age, show it to law enforcement if needed, etc. The bartender pointed out my physical ID was void, so I explained that I had just upgraded and handed her the temporary ID. I have never had an issue explaining the situation to anyone, and the paper certificiation has always sufficed, but was told I couldn’t drink at Rack’em. This was perfectly fine as I don’t drink alcohol at all, so I let the bartender know that I totally understood and was not drinking anyway. Apparently it was a bigger deal than I thought. They informed me that I couldn’t stay as they didn’t want to take a risk w

If I could give this place a lower review I would, I’m a disabled veteran with a service dog which has to be by my side 24/7, I went to this place before and never had a problem having my service dog with me, but today when I went there all of the sudden everything changed when the bartender told me I cannot come inside with him and when I asked to speak to a manager he told me that he was a manager and no way he’s letting me in with my service dog, this is another place that doesn’t give a damn about a federal laws…

Another great place to shoot pool...Great tournaments throughout the week especially on Friday nights... experienced shooters at that place....slot machines an plenty of tables to shoot on...it is a pool hall an that's it finger foods but the cooks are phenomenal!! Highly recommend!! An it is connected to one of the biggest restaurants/ bars in the area backstreet bar and grill is in the same parking lot so if u get 2 one you can crawl to the other one w ease! Great place to spend the weekend sorta off the stephenson exit that's the easiest an best way to go past the Sheetz an go back like your goin towards Winchester an it's roughly less than a mile from the Sheetz!! Experienced shooters though you need to know how to shoot in them tournaments bc them shooters there are above average!! $20 buy in tournaments with break pot!! HAPPY SHOOTING!!

Tonight we were told to leave because we were supposedly “too drunk.” Meanwhile, other customers around us were clearly much more intoxicated and no one said anything to them. We were peaceful, respectful, and bothering nobody. It felt like we were singled out for no real reason. The staff was rude about it and made the situation uncomfortable and embarrassing. Not a place I would recommend.
