Maui's Bar on Williams

I’ve been to this bar three times. The first visit was a good experience, which is why I gave it additional chances but , the last two visits were terrible. Both times, the same white male bartender was incredibly condescending. He rolled his eyes, spoke down to us, and made it very obvious that he did not want to serve us. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The final straw happened when I was standing in line waiting to order. Instead of taking my order, he allowed the woman behind me to go first. His excuse was that her drink was an “easy order.” For context, she was a white woman, and I am a Latina woman. The interaction felt racially motivated, and I have never experienced anything like that before in my life. No one should feel ignored, disrespected, or judged when they’re simply trying to enjoy a night out. This was not a welcoming environment, and I will not be returning.

If Portland and all the stereotypical adjectives could be established in a bar, in the best way, especially the "artwork" in the mens room, is this place. It's amazing. Drinks could be a bit cheaper and parking wasn't convenient (but, again, just adds to the Portlandia of it all!) Love it!

The bar? Good. The bartender, Andy? Great! It's a dive bar. Nothing is fancy, but it's got what you need. Highlights - they serve alcohol (and it's cheap), you can bring your own food, there is a pool table, TVs for sports, and an outdoor area (with a TV) where you can hang out with your dog.

I came in on my own late, and it was super chill, all the tenders were very friendly and I felt like I was in a home bar from the old days. Definitely recommend checking out Maui

Cute little dive sports bar. Food selection was ok. Drinks were strong and good. Not very busy during the day. Pretty low key.
