This place was great! Just reopened and is now called S S & S Bowling Center. Went on Saturday 12/13/2025 and owners were working the register and the snack bar. Clean and remodeled. Great prices! Hope to be back soon.

Just went for the second time since it was opened up as S S & S bowling center and it was fantastic. I love the people here, excellent customer service and so very kind. Alleys are brand new so equipment is top notch. Everything clean, snack bar was amazing. Relatively cheap beer, amazing pizza and wings. Highly recommended to anyone living in Fredericksburg or there on a day trip like we were.

Three stars. Not because this place is terrible. Not because I don’t appreciate the effort. Three stars because I believe this place can become something much more important than a bowling alley. For years, this has been one of those small-town businesses that seemed to be hanging on by a thread. Recently, the owners invested money, renovated the facility, and clearly made an effort to improve things. For that alone, they deserve credit. It’s easy to criticize. It’s much harder to invest your own money and try to make something better. But here’s what I hope they understand: You are not just selling bowling. You are selling family time. You are selling friendships. You are selling memories that people will carry for the rest of their lives. In a world where people spend more and more time isolated behind screens, places like this matter. Parents and children standing together. Friends laughing together. Grandparents teaching grandchildren. People competing, encouraging each other, and sharing experiences in the real world. That has value far beyond a game. Amazing bowling experience! It seems so many bowling spots have become half an arcade and club. If I wanna bowl, I wanna *bowl* and not much else! The music was fun but I could carry a conversation. The guys running the place were friendly and accommodating. We had a great time and I wish this place was closer! $5 for a game and $3.50 for a shoe rental. It was clean and well maintained! Thanks for a great experience, y'all!
