The history of this ride is fascinating and always a treat to watch old footage of Walt Disney sharing how it was created for the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, then moved to Disneyland in Anaheim after the fair ended in 1966. The facade's styling, the many countries represented, and Mary Blair's artistic style are still amazing to see. The music will get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Throughout the day, the animated clock show on the facade runs every 15 minutes--a treat for the whole family. The 15-minute attraction is a great place to relax, escape the heat, or take a quick nap. Queue lines move fast, but during peak season times, you'll wait 30-50 minutes. Lightning Lanes options are available. On average, the wait is usually between 15 and 20 minutes. During the holidays after Halloween, It's a Small World transforms into a festive experience, with Christmas songs blending with the original music and holiday decorations. Say it with me... Timeless classic that offers an entertaining boat ride with an explosion of multiculturally themed dolls animated to dance and sing to its “small world” anthem. Depending on wait times, this is a great spot to break-up your day at Disneyland Park and enjoy simple pleasures of joyful and visually appealing experience paired with relaxing pace.

Unfortunately, this ride is definitely not for adults. If you don’t want to hear the same two lines of a song repeated 500 times, you won’t enjoy it. Honestly, it was an unpleasant experience. The ride itself is way too long. Some of the boats don’t even move properly and only start going when other boats bump into them. There are lots of lifeless dolls. Sure, they’re dressed in different costumes from various cultures and placed in themed scenes, which is kind of cool, but honestly, it feels pretty creepy being stuck in this doll castle. And that song… It’s incredibly annoying. If at least the lyrics were longer than two lines, maybe it would’ve been bearable. But by the tenth repetition, it seriously feels like a nightmare, and it just drives you crazy. All in all, this ride feels outdated and is really only for die-hard fans or little kids.

This is always such a cute ride! It gets a bad rap for having an ear-worm of a theme song, but it is classic Disney ride that brings happy feelings every trip.
