Flushing Meadows Corona Park Aquatic Center

I am writing to bring to your attention an ongoing issue involving the pool facility staff regarding the entry and storage of motorcycle helmets. As a facility user and motorcycle rider, I have encountered repeated inconveniences due to the restriction on bringing helmets into the locker rooms to place them on surfaces, even when they do not fit inside the available lockers. Given this limitation, I have respectfully requested the option to leave my helmet at the reception area while using the pool facilities. However, this request has been denied by staff, who state that they are not responsible for personal belongings and that leaving items in that area is not permitted. Additionally, I have been informed that bringing a helmet into the facility is not allowed under any circumstances, effectively requiring me, as a rider and customer, to leave my protective equipment outside without any form of security. This raises significant concerns. The situation escalated recently when, after a discussion with a security staff member, I was allowed to bring my helmet into the locker room. I secured it above my locker; however, upon returning from my swim, the helmet was no longer there.

I’m an able bodied human using this pool for exercise. PLEASE make it as accessible as you market yourself. Elevator has been out for a week, no cleaning and unsafe for majority of swimmers. Fix it!

This is one of the public indoor swimming pools where entry is free if you’re under 24. If you’re over 24, the yearly fee is $150, which is still cheaper than most other places. It’s a great spot for kids, and many families come here. There are locker rooms and changing rooms for both men and women. For safety, two lifeguards are always on duty, and there’s also a seating area where mothers can comfortably watch their children

Poor communication, website does not provide enough info. It says that children under the age of sixteen need to be accompanied by an adult OR 8 inches taller than water height, but what the heck do you mean the pool depth is 7.5ft? Who is even that tall at the age of 16?

Always loved this park. It definitely needs updating/maintenance. Shame they don't have the midway pools in service. It used to be beautiful water pools, especially at the world's sphere. The sounds and water display were the biggest and best features of the park.
