Rev. V - June 2021 Original Review: 5 Stars, descending since. The 2nd Avenue Corner Pocket pool hall could only be described in one way: Amazing tables, interesting staff. Here's a breakdown of what I saw. • Pool tables: 10 beautiful Diamond tables, including a special 10-foot BIGFOOT table to have an extra challenge! Tables seem to be re-felted often, as they looked brand new. (As of June, tables have stains and show signs of needing refelting). • Cue balls, billiards balls: Original: Very nice Cyclops table balls. They look to be cleaned often and the shine really shows. Delivered to us in a tight carrying case with FIVE cue balls to choose from. Now: Three cue balls delivered in a nice bag, but upon opening, balls are from mismatched sets of who-knows-what brands (some still Cyclops). The pouch has tears and hasn't been well taken care of. • Drinks and Serving: Although I don't drink alcohol, the Pepsi with Grenadine that I usually order was really good. The mix was perfect. • Price: Drinks were fairly priced and so was apparel and merchandise. Table time was about what we expect from a regular pool hall. • Food: Didn't have any of our own, but the table next to us had somethi

My first visit to the corner pocket was on Saturday afternoon. It was relatively quiet. Only a few tables were taken. It was nice to have a place to shoot a few games of pool that's not too loud and obnoxious. We had a problem with a couple of the tables but the bar staff was very accommodating. The drinks were good. I would call this a friendly atmosphere. They have regular pool leagues, both men and women. They have 10 or 11 tables so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot unless it's a league night.

Good service... The atmosphere or vibes in there feels a bit ghetto, but I personally dig a more low-key casually dressed place after work on a Friday night. And, obviously, if you like to play pool, this is your spot. They've got several pool tables. Fried bar food will run you roughly $9 regular price before tax. A double shot of Jose Blanco cigar me $6 I believe and a shot of Patron runs $10. I think my margarita cost about $5 or $6 as well. The two lady bartenders were easy to conversate with.. not over the top hyper or snooty. They handled that bar crowd Friday night with ease - just cool, calm, and collected ..no sweat! Pretty good bar tenders, those two knew their stuff & were attentive for the most part. So I personally like their service and staff members are clearly trained well. I prefer the dark sweat your tail off grinding with hot guys all night or a group of your gal pals sort of bar scene, but that's probably because I would choose dressed up over casual and I don't play pool. 🫶
