Pockets Billiards, 281 Avenue

Had an amazing experience at Pockets on San Pedro! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the security staff and Paul the GM with such kindness and respect. Everyone was very polite, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable right away. The atmosphere inside was amazing, the food was really good, and our server Johnny did a great job taking care of us the whole time. The wings were absolutely delicious! Our server was attentive. John GM made excellent recommendations, Very welcoming. Can’t wait to come by again.

Johnnie was amazing, I am coming back specifically to have him serve us. The tables are great, jukebox kinda annoying but hey it’s 2026. Food was as you’d expect, decent but not shit. Huge beers, I mean… HUGE like twin peaks and have ice on top. Will come back.

Went to Pocket Billiards on 281 Avenue to play pool. The tables are good, there are plenty of TVs to watch games, and the overall vibe is chill, making it a decent spot to hang out with friends. Drinks were fine, but the food needs improvement. The wings were bland and had next to no sauce, which was disappointing and not what you expect from bar food. Overall, it’s okay for pool, watching games, and drinks, but I’d skip the food unless they step it up. I’d come back mainly to play pool and catch a game.

The waitress was amazing but the manager turned the lights on at 1:30am and turned all the Tvs off. I felt like we were being rushed out. There were only three tables of us in there. When we walked in there was a leaf blower and a vacuum in the middle of the floor. We had bought multiple drinks and were in the middle of a game when he turned all the lights on and the TVs off. Cannot say we will be going back. A woman had been paying to play songs and they just shut the music off. She was pretty mad and rightfully so. The only thing that would bring me back is the service. The waitress was so sweet. Checked on us often. The drinks were good. But you could tell the manager wanted everybody out. Not a good feeling as a paying customer.
