Betsy's Billiards

My son came in from college and we took the family to Betsy's to play some pool. Wow, what a wonderful place, we got sorted right away, got some drinks and played a few hours of billiards, the staff was polite, the drinks divine, and the tables were fantastic, we are for sure going to come back. And, did I mention the environment and decorations, stupendous.

UNPROFESSİONAL AND HOSTİLE OWNER! UNSAFE ENVİRONMENT! I recently had an absolutely appalling experience at this establishment. I visited with two friends to play pool. While playing, I absent mindedly left my Sprite can on the table. The owner came over, grabbed the drink, and in an incredibly aggressive and rude way, told us not to leave drinks on the table. I simply said, 'There is no need to be this serious.' At that point, he aggressively stepped toward me in a hostile and confrontational manner, shouting, 'This is my table and I am the owner here!'. The situation became so tense that another customer had to step in, thinking a fight was about to break out. Honestly, I didn't even believe he was the owner at first, because no professional business owner should ever treat a customer this way. When the game was over, I went to the register and asked if the owner was there. When they said he was, I told the cashier to let him know that he is extremely disrespectful and rude, and that I would never come back here again. No one should have to deal with an owner who lacks basic self control and treats paying customers like enemies.

Huge space, tons of tables, staff seemed somewhat friendly, although they ran behind me at least 20 times which was annoying because the other side of the tables were empty, they were polite about it though. For $14 an hour on pool time these are some DISGUSTING tables. Several tears and snags on tops of all the stains, not well maintained. Balls were in decent condition and decently clean. In town league members get discounts, out of town league members do not. Probably not a place I’ll visit when in Austin again. But if you got the bucks to spare give it a try.

Cute place where you can play at your leisure and grab a drink in peace. They have a pretty good happy hour deal during the day, and I really like that at night it’s not rowdy whatsoever. Everyone is just having fun and keeping to themselves/their parties. I absolutely LOVE how they also have a game of darts in the back, I love darts. The tables, cues, and pool balls are always clean and polished every time we visit. 🎯

This is a nice clean place to play some pool with friends. They have more than 25 available tables and a full bar. I also tried the attached cafe, had the basic burger and loaded fries. Loaded fries were great, burger was good but over cooked. Overall a great spot for billiards, check it out.
