Typical Jonesboro fashion the parks and recreation department takes control of it and it goes to crap its definitely not like the old YMCA. Cant even bring in a bottle of water or any food and they want to charge of course for everything. It is also posted nowhere or mentioned when going in if you go out to your vehicle that you can't get back in so there is that also. Parking lot is full of kids begging for you to help them get in because of the age limit like ticket scalpers at a sporting event then want to cuss you when you tell them no. Would recommend the water park in paragould or anywhere but here if looking for a place to swim.

It's really gone down hill in recent years. The prices are ridiculous. For 2 kids and 2 adults to get in it was 18 dollars and the concession prices weren't any better. Also, we got there at open and the pool wasn't even skimmed with the net yet and a bunch of bugs and clumps of hair was in there. I'd use this pool to go do some swimming for myself but bringing kids isn't a good idea to me. It's just not kid friendly enough and cost 14 bucks to get 2 nachos and 2 drinks. That's crazy and they dumped jalapenos on there without even asking if we wanted them. The prices aren't listed so you don't know the cost until they ring you up. The teenagers we got this year are actually kind of dismissive not rude or anything but they act like interacting with you will kill them. 🙄 It's summer for crying out loud, have fun at your lifeguard job a little. Geez. 🤦🏽♀️

It was so much fun. The organizers and volunteers did a wonderful job with the competition.

Despite allegedly being run by the city of Jonesboro, they evidently aren't professional enough to update their website. Says theyre open. They're not. Pool is supposed to be open until the 3rd weekend in August. Its not. Just go ahead and remove any info about this place from the website altogether since apparently users can't trust what it says. Don't bother calling them either. The number just goes to "the city of jonesboro" so you'll just be trapped in an answering tree for the foreseeable future. You could leave a message i guess if youre into wasting your time.
