A1 Billiards & Pool Table Repair

I recently purchased a pool table and needed it moved. I reached out to several movers and chose Mr. Slates/ A1. Johnna took my call and quoted me the price that was very reasonable and considerably less than any other quote that I was given. WE set the appointment for the following day. The movers were amazing punctual, very courteous, considerate, and professional. They were very methodical in preparing for the installation, laying out moving blankets prior to moving in table pieces and tools. These guys were good! Would I use them again? Absolutely! Would I recommend them? Absolutely!

They are nice people, but I wouldn’t use them again and i wouldn’t recommend to anyone else. Been regulars with them for the last 5 years for annual refelting and i don’t think I’ve ever had a level table with them. I’d have them come out again and somehow the table would be more unlevel. Pool is hard enough but it’s even harder playing on a 0.3% slope :( But recently i had them refelt my table and after a couple of no shows, it took almost a month to come out and do the service when it was initially supposed to be a few days after receiving the ordered felt. I had thought i had gotten scammed. The table came out unlevel of course and i asked them to come back out to relevel it and they haven’t shown :( Anyways, i ended up getting the contact for another local pool table service guy named Fran (who isn’t on google). He came out within a couple days after reaching out to him. He mentioned how he has to fix a lot of the tables that A1/Mr Slate did. But he himself serviced my table with a lot of care and heart and it is perfectly level for the first time in its life :)

Very professional, they were responsive and timely with the communication and process. Made purchasing a third party table (Facebook marketplace) a smooth experience maintaining communication between me and the seller during the entire process. And they took care of everything while I was at work making it stress free and by the time I got off work the table was properly inspected, set and leveled and ready for shooting with me and the guys from work.And the BEST price in the SWFL area. First, I use “Bob Smith” due to my real name, David Simoniello get spammed way too much! Now with that out of the way, onto my review for the whole team at A1 Billards and the owner Dave. To make a long story short, this group along with the owner Dave, couldn’t have satisfied me any more than what they did today. When another business up north was blowing smoke and didn’t really want my money, Dave came through for my pool table install! I had a pool tournament scheduled for Saturday, when then company up north failed to make contact with me to get my table installed, I called Dave with A1 Billards and he said, “I can make this happen for you!” This was a short notice, I know, but Dave couldn’t have sent what I consider his best, Max & Chris……to put it short, these two couldn’t have done a better job. 1000 % SATISFIED!! I must say they came from Ft Myers all the way to NorthPort just to make this happen for me!! No doubt, I will definitely be using this company again!! Thanks again Dave, Max & Chris, you really made this Saturday tournament happen!!!

This company was incredibly helpful, thoughtful and has excellent customer service. I almost bought a table that wasn’t in the best condition due to animal soiling and not only did they understand when they showed up at the location and I didn’t buy it but they were willing to help me find a good quality table and didn’t charge extra for the lost time. The owners are great people and really, my option is , I wouldn’t ever hire anyone else. Not only were the owners awesome, but so were to the gentlemen who brought the table to my home. Very polite and took their time to do it right. Anyone who tells you you don’t need to hire professionals to move a slate table are not correct. It is a specialty you shouldn’t skimp on because it must be taken apart and out back together carefully and professionally. It’s like moving a grand piano. Highly recommend A-1. They also sell tables. Let them find you one if you are reluctant to find your own.
